The Rev. Emily Cowser grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. She holds a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with an emphasis in Adaptive and Innovative Ministry. Prior to attending seminary, she studied Adventure Education and Biblical & Religious Studies at Messiah University. She is passionate about designing and facilitating experiences that nurture faith and cultivate community, and she hopes to integrate her passions for the Church, Adventure Education, and intercultural education in her ministry. While she feels closest to her sense of call when journeying with a group on a river, over a mountain peak, or through a cave, she also appreciates the day-to-day rhythms of congregational ministry, and she is excited to serve for two years in Helena. Her favorite parts of congregational ministry are visiting people, preaching, and spiritual formation. Emily has spent extensive time abroad for learning and research. One of her most recent adventures was a summer in South Sudan, South Africa, and the Philippines researching how Christian communities around the world are finding hope and healing amidst collective trauma. Her favorite ways to nourish her own soul are long-distance running, whitewater canoeing, hiking, and the practice of Sabbath.
Les Cramer is the music and communications man for the church. He strongly believes that music enhances the entire experience and is a vital part of worship.
As office coordinator, Julie is here
to support the staff, committees,
and church membership.
Ann is our accomplished organist and pianist. She has years of experience with pipe organs, which we have, accompanying soloists, and playing for the choir.
